Raising Your Dog with The Monks of New Skete, is visual poetry.
I not only learned about dog training, I experienced for myself the sublime
and harmonious world that the monks and their dogs share. This series
is a basic course in communication and is useful even outside the realm
of dog training. I highly recommend it!

"If you are intrigued by the
life of monks, dogs, or both, this creatively produced series will
give you insights into spiritual life and animal life. These are monks
who wear their spirituality lightly and translate it into warmth and understanding
with animals. Use this program as spiritual retreat and as animal instruction.
This series teaches us how to care for dogs but more importantly
gives core lessons in how to live from the heart. |

"This beautifully produced series reflects the unique and special
training techniques of the Monks which encourages a bond between man
and his best friend based on respect and admiration. Bravo to the Monks
of New Skete for presenting an intelligent and compassionate approach
to understanding and communicating with the magnificent creature that
is "dog".

The Monks of New Skete new training series, Raising Your Dog With
The Monks of New Skete, is just what the doctor ordered! The
series is an intelligent, comprehensive, touching reference that
makes it easy and fun to welcome, care for and love your dog.
This series will be watched time after time again. As a
veterinarian, I know it's so important to a pet's health and well-being,
that I recommend they get it before the dog!

I thoroughly enjoyed "Raising Your Dog with The Monks of New Skete".
The DVDs are really about a lot more than just rearing and training
dogs. I wish that all owners could adopt such responsible dog-rearing
practices. It would go a long way towards preventing dog bites, a problem
which sends over 800,000 Americans for medical treatment every year. |
